I think often times western folks tend to forget that just like western religions, eastern religions are also just, religions.
Yes, they’ve been culturally appropriated and white washed and fetishized by the west. Yes, you should avoid doing all of that. Yes, you should approach them with consideration and respect like you would any culture, any religion.
But they’re not this Big Mysterious Thing full of Forbidden Esoteric Knowledge that thou shalt proceed with utmost caution and enter at your own risk either! We native practitioners vibe, hang, chill and have fun with these religions just like you. We have ridiculous and hilarious UPGs, too. We write and joke about them all the time, too.
Having your own personal blog is honestly quite a nice change of pace compared to Reddit. I could put a funny GIF of George Bush getting hit by a shoe on here and the worse case scenario is that no one even notices.
You put that on a big subreddit and you get your eyes gouged out and a heap of political discourse underneath your post.
